how to maary in hongkong

I want to get married here in hongkong very soon.

Can anyone please tell me what kind of documents are required.

For example do you need a certicificate saynig that you are single (which I am but getting the document at my own embassy is a nightmare) or is it possible to self declare your status?

why dont you get the documents form the local government of your original place of residency?

because I am a HK resident, so my origninal place cant do it (they old me when i was there last year on holiday.)

Hi I got married in HK recently. U need to make an appointment at the department of marriages, birth and deaths to register your intention to marry. GO to this website. http://www.immd.gov.hk/ehtml/bdmreg_4.htm
You have to fill out a few forms but it is pretty straight forward. You declare whether you are single or not or have been previously married.
Anyway it is not too confusing. Good luck. madxpat

In the meantime we went to the marriage registry and it is really straightforward, you can selfdeclare your status. Thats a lot easier than in europe where you need tons of documents.
